Vanity URL Shenanigans

Can someone please tell me why another company was given a vanity URL that should've, by Zoom's own requirements, been impossible for them to obtain? Our company has owned the domain in question for decades, and now we have to use one of our unused domains for verification of a vanity URL. Not only that, but Zoom support contacted us stating that they wouldn't approve our vanity URL until we add a DNS record to verify domain ownership!! Boy, it would have been really nice if they held the church that took our URL to the same standard! Zoom, you should make this right and give us the vanity URL that rightfully belongs to us. Either that or please change your requirements. It's not fair to play favorites, nor is it good business.
