I have a faculty member in multiple classrooms that has reported the same issue when using Zoom:
If he plugs in a clicker, USB stick, or USB mic, Zoom will just flat out crash. If he starts Zoom first, then plugs in his devices, it works, but at some point will crash again.
Anyone else experience the same issues with any USB devices? Are there certain mics, clickers, or thumb drives that Zoom just doesn't play well with for some reason?

Which OS is the user running?
Can the issue be replicated on all USB ports for the machine in question?
Can the issue be replicated on the same OS and version of Zoom with the same peripherals, but on different hardware?
These answers will best inform next steps.

Windows 10 on all 3 computers it's happened on, and happened in 3 different classrooms.
I believe he tried multiple USB port as well.

Are all running the same version of Zoom (if so, which version)?
Since these are Windows, you should also be able to pull event logs for both the application the bus in question to check for any anomalies. You can find these in Event Viewer.
Definitely submit crash logs to Zoom Support if you haven't already.

Should all be the same version as our network guy pushes updates out to classrooms all at once. This has been happening since late August, and Zoom has updated a couple times since then.
