Hello,

Try uninstalling Zoom using the built in uninstaller. Then, reboot ypur computer and download and install Zoom again and see if that fixes the issue.

I have the same experience. The crash reports mentioned "ZoomProxy::ProxyProvider::CZoomProxyDetectThread::GetProxyForURL" and if I disable "Auto proxy discovery" on my network interface, I'm able to launch the application.

Try telling your device not to crash. It worked for me.

I have the same issue, uninstalling and reinstalling will not do anything.

@ Frank_TB not sure how we can even run the inbuilt uninstaller as Zoom instantly crashes.

I see. You can uninstall using the traditional method of dragging an app to the trash and emptying the trash.

That sounds frustrating to deal with
App crashes like this can stop work completely
The website or app should at least show an error
Hopefully an update or reinstall fixes it soon

In my default WiFi connection, the proxy config is shown with scutil as

scutil --proxy
<dictionary> {
  ProxyAutoConfigEnable : 1
  ProxyAutoConfigURLString : http://wpad/wpad.dat
  ProxyAutoDiscoveryEnable : 1
}

In this state, the crash is immediate. As long as auto-discovey is disabled, zoom will launch.

Disabling it (via Preferences or the command-line "networksetup -setproxyautodiscovery Wi-Fi off") consistently permits the app to run.

Those of us with forced proxies like me are not going to be able to turn it off.

Does it work if you specify the proxy? I didn't bother to setup a proxy to test and was suspecting it was an issue in looking for the wpad url.
