As the title says; after a call Zoom automatically opens the recordings folder in Finder and I would like to turn this behavior off, I can open the folder myself if I need it. A search brought up a supposed answer but the referenced setting does not appear to exist in the latest Zoom version. Thanks for your help!

Zoom used to have a setting that automatically opened the recording folder after a meeting, but as you've discovered, in more recent versions of Zoom (as of 2024–2025), that specific toggle no longer exists in the settings UI.
There is no built-in setting in the Zoom desktop app (macOS or Windows) that disables the "auto-open recordings folder" behavior after a meeting ends if you're recording locally.
Here are a few potential solutions:
If you're on a paid plan:
Go to zoom.us > My Account > Settings > Recording
Enable Cloud Recording instead of Local Recording
This avoids the issue entirely, as the files are stored online and the folder won’t open.
If you're comfortable with scripting:
You could write a script that intercepts or kills the automatic folder opening.
Zoom likely uses a open command via macOS to show the folder, which you could block with automation tools (e.g. Little Snitch, Hammerspoon, or LaunchAgents).
Since the setting was once available and removed, it's worth submitting a feature request via:
Zoom app > Help > Send Feedback
