Screen sharing and interacting

My son has just started zoom tutoring sessions. The tutor would like to share maths and spelling apps from her screen so my son is able to press buttons and interact and they can play educational games and take turns. She does this with other students but for some reason it doesn't work for my son. He is able to see her screen but is unable to take control. Any thoughts? Also sometimes the video stops our end and an error message says another app is using the camera. I do not have any other apps open. I have tried using the app and the browser to access zoom. My device is a Lenovo chromebook. Thanks

To help you resolve this situation, we could first try checking that the Zoom application from which your child is taking his tutoring is up to date. If you click on his profile picture, you should see the option to "check for updates" and verify if you have the latest version. Sometimes, when we don't have the application updated, some tools do not work correctly.
