On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Issue with Annotation Not Visible to Participants

Dear Zoom Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with the Annotation feature during screen sharing. When I use the Annotate tool to draw or write on the shared screen, the other participants in the meeting cannot see my annotations. However, I can see them on my own screen.

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensuring that annotation is enabled.

  • Sharing the entire screen instead of a specific window.

  • Checking for updates and ensuring I am using the latest version of Zoom.

  • Verifying that annotation visibility settings are properly configured.

Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
