On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Requiring passcode even though it's embedded in the link

I have periodic reports from some users that they are unable to access meeting recordings. That seems strange since I create a shareable link that includes the passcode.

The shareable link looks like this [passcode enlarged]

https://us06web.zoom.us/rec/share/fa_Me56yQIPX63rXoW9Bmj-LDz0nNna3gsJFFbTplPiES7TvmDx8SozgtUr0oeVl.T... Passcode: NpS?Q5*+

Some users report that after clicking on the link, they are then asked for the passcode.

Any idea of [a] why this is happening for some users and [b] how to fix it?

Hi, @eyore15

Is it set to require authentication before viewing?

In that case, if the person trying to view the video is not signed in to Zoom and clicks on the link, they will need to sign in to Zoom.
Could it be that they are being asked for a password to sign in to Zoom?

b] If you are sending a link with an embedded passcode, how about sharing it without a passcode?
