Recording conversion stuck

I can't convert the recording of a meeting (saved to my computer) because my zoom is stuck on the error message "failed to convert recording--there is another recording conversion in progress, please convert later." I tried from both my zoom Meetings>Recorded>Convert and also from my documents file. I tried restarting my computer several times. I tried leaving it overnight. Still stuck.

please see the support article.  the first recommendation is to install the current version of the desktop client.

acording to the error message, there is another recording conversion in progress. you may have to wait until that conversion completes.  maybe, the conversion program encountered some error and is stuck waiting for a response to the error.  did you get any error message from the conversion in progress?

 

the support article suggests opening a support ticket if you continue to have this issue.

Eliot, I am experiencing the same issue. I followed the steps outlined in the support doc:

 

  1. From your desktop, click Go then Applications.
  2. Find zoom.us and right-click on the folder then select Show Content package.
  3. Open Contents then Frameworks
  4. Find Transcode, right-click and copy it
  5. Open the Applications folder in Finder and paste the Transcode app.
  6. Go back to the location of your local recording file then right-click on double_click_to_convert_01.zoom.
  7. Click Get Info

Set Open with to Transcode
You can manually convert the recording when you double-click on file double_click_to_convert_01.zoom.

With no luck. Still just a file that says "double_click_to_convert_01.zoom" of a recording of a very hard to get guest. 

As you are a Community Champion perhaps you have a solution beyond the support ticket? Thanks in advance.

I've followed the support docs and still no luck to get the file to convert using Transcode. What is another option to solve this known issue. Thanks in advance.
