When I first used a link that had been sent to me, I was automatically given an alias that was wrong. How do I change it? I have asked the chat the same question but was unable to follow the directions given. I was told to click on Edit to change it, but I never reached an Edit.

It sounds like someone who received a panelist link themselves then shared it with you. A panelist link is generated for the specific individual that it is created for.
For example, if I received a panelist link and shared it with 10 others, there would be 10 people who showed-up all displaying my name.

But how do I change it? The second time I received a link to the same community, my alias was there immediately and I had no possibility to change it.

The host needs to invite you personally to be a panelist. This requires them to enter your name and email address. It's also important that if you use multiple Zoom accounts that you login with the account that matches the email that the host used when creating the panelist link.

OK, so I cannot change it. But it is odd that other participants have been registered with their full name, and some with a variety of an alias, while I was registered with only my last name.
