Hey, @foggy43.
What attendees see is a likely request for a Passcode — this is a series of characters included in the setup of each meeting.
While a little in the technical side, this Zoom Support article has good information Account using the Passcode for Meeting access:

An option would also be to not require a Passcode, but you would need to enable the Waiting Room.

You can find the password in the Zoom portal next to the relevant meeting. You can then copy that password and share it along with the link with attendees. You can either share it by email or you could use a schedule app to share your Zoom invites that include a passcode by default. One option available in the Zoom marketplace is Salepager for sending Zoom invites that include the passcode.

In Zoom, the meeting password you're referring to is typically set up when you create the meeting. When you share the meeting invite, the password should be included. However, if participants are being asked for a password after entering the Zoom ID, you might not have set a password in the invitation, or they might not have received it.
To ensure people can join without issues:
Check the Meeting Settings:
Send the Password:
Check the Meeting ID and Settings:
You can also turn off the password requirement in your settings, but it’s recommended to keep it for security reasons.

Hi foggy43! It sounds like you're hosting a Zoom meeting with a password requirement, which is great for security. When you schedule a meeting, you can set a password for it, but the password isn't automatically visible to participants unless you share it with them. If you're using Zoom's default settings, the password will be included in the meeting invite sent to attendees. You can find the password in the invitation email or within the meeting details. If you haven't set up a specific password, Zoom will generate one for you. To manually check or adjust the password, go to the "Meeting Settings" when scheduling or editing your meeting. You can either enable or disable the password option and customize it if necessary. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions.
