On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

I have the basic subscription which should allow me to have longer meetings, but cuts off at 40 minutes each time.  I can call support with basic plan, billing refers me back to this platform.  Please help.  Thank you,

Hello,

My understanding is that the term  "basic" equals a free account in Zoom terminology Basic accounts are limited to 40 minutes sessions.

If instead, you mean you have a paid account, then I suspect that although you have paid for an upgraded account, you have not actually assigned the licence.  Zoom does not do this part for you. You will need to act as the account admin and assign the upgraded licence to your account.

Assigning a single license

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click User Management, then Users.
  3. Locate or search for the user who you want to assign a license. (Your own account)
  4. Click Edit at the end of the user row.
    This will open a window.
  5. Choose the User Type  to assign.
  6. After choosing the User Type, use the drop down to select the license.
  7. Click Save.
  8. The license is now applied and you can use it immediately.

Regards
