OTP authentication

When I haven't used zoom for a while it wants to use an OTP (one time passcode) to allow me to sign in. The issue with this is, the passcode doesn't immediately arrive and can sometimes take an hour or even half a day to arrive. Consequently, by the time it arrives it is no longer valid so there have been times when I just simply can't access zoom at all! Ridiculous - and I don't seem to have the option to turn it off ....

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @k9Gail.

If the OTP process is frequently delayed and you have your own smart phone, consider using 2FA (2 factor authentication) instead.  More information is available here:

https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360038247071-Managing-two-factor-authentication-2FA-

The downside is that you will always be prompted for the 2FA entry each time you log in; the up side is that you will always have your 2FA codes with you in your smart phone.
