Hi. I turned on the setting "Mute All" participants upon entry on my main settings and it doesn't work. Participants are still unmuted. Does that option only work with certain zoom versions?
A quick response is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Same thing is happening to my colleague and its super annoying. @Anonymous how can this be fixed?

It still (or maybe again) doesn't work. In addition, this setting also affects automatic muting when returning from Breakout Rooms.

Hi @XiaM @jimi @Curty the setting "Mute All" participants upon entry setting enabled mutes participants upon entry, this means they still have the ability to unmute after they've entered the meeting. To my understanding, and please confirm; that this setting is enabled and when a participant joins, they joined unmuted? Its hard telling if a participant joins and immediately may just unmute upon joining the meeting. However, I would also advise updating Zoom to the latest version if you believe you maybe not up-to-date to see if this changes your experience.

I find that this feature does not work reliably for all participants. We have it set to "Mute All Participants when they join a meeting". Our meetings are 80-120 not-very-technical people viewing a Board Meeting, as we are required to do by law. Most participants join the meeting and are muted automatically - others join and are not muted, so the Host has to mute them.
Even worse, some participants are not mute-able! Whatever we try, Zoom ignores our attempts to shut them up. If they are not-technical and have lots of background noise, it is very problematic.
[We host Zoom on a PC, so I assume we always have the latest version.]
