Mic symbol not showing can participants hear meeting?

Hi,

Can you help me understand what is happening. We run meetings and host has the participants screen open where we can see participant status etc.
Recently we have noticed that some participants do not show a mic icon, so can they hear what is being said?

Hello,

For those participants who aren't showing microphone icons:

-This would indicate they don't have a microphone connected or configured on their Zoom settings.

-This doesn't mean they don't have audio. If they have speakers connected, they'll be able to hear the meeting. Rather they haven't connected a microphone in order to speak in the meeting.
