On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Making another person the host

Hi there,

we are a learning group using my account for meetings. However, as I am not always present, I want to make a list of 3 people also the  hosts, so that they can be the host on a day without me having to be there in the beginning to make them co-host and so that they can create breakout rooms. I understand that only hosts can create breakout rooms.

I cannot make sense of the tutorials so I thought I just ask you nice people.

I am sure this is a problem that many people have, is it? So my question is how does zoom handle it and what are the workarounds.

If you are all under the same organization/instance of Zomm (ex. all have @work.com email addresses) , then when you schedule the meetings you should make them Alternate Hosts.

Thanks,
