Issues with zoom video after last update

Peter165

Did an update on window 10 computer now the video works for about 20 sec then starts glitching and changing color, if the camera gets turned off and back on it works for another few sec than does the same thing.

It is not computer. And it has also happened to friends also.

Do not know how to fix.

I am having the same issue. I even purchased two computers thinking it was mine. Have you figured it out?

I'm having the same problem. I think we have to wait for a new update 😞

I'm having the same issue. It's super annoying because I use Zoom for work and I'm on it for 8 or more hours a day. So when I'm screen sharing OR I have to load a different page my video starts glitching out so I have to black out during presentations, which is super un professional.

Hi Folks,

please try this:

Currently installing an older version of Zoom is the only way to fix it, below an official link for the latest version on 5.12.x for macOS. You'll need to uninstall your current version with Zoom open via the menubar. Make sure to avoid any update prompts until a fixed version has been installed.

Zoom Client 5.12.9 [macOS]

https://zoom.us/client/5.12.9.13190/Zoom.pkg

Windows :

5.12.9 64-bit:

https://cdn.zoom.us/prod/5.12.9.10650/ZoomInstaller.exe?archType=x64

5.12.9 32-bit:

https://cdn.zoom.us/prod/5.12.9.10650/ZoomInstaller.exe

This works perfectly for now. Let's hope for a permanent solution soon.

Microsoft won't let me install these.  Says it's not a Microsoft approved app???

@carfen

it looks like you have the limited windows-license ("S-mode"). On this version of Windows you can only use software from the windows appstore 😐.

The only workaround I think is to use zoom via the web-client for meetings and wait for a update of zoom. As far as I know them it might be fixed in the next update ;).

It worked at first but then Zoom updated itself and now the video  flickering is even worse.  On Windows 11.

It has happened to some of my coworkers too and we haven't found a solution.

We will try to install an older version, thanks a lot. Please let us know if anyone gets to hear back from zoom support.

My issue is that after update my video is suddenly freezing and changing colour so I look like an Andy Warhol painting, then it goes back to normal. Sometimes happens several times in during a call. Is this what is happening to everyone else?
