Issues connecting on mac

Since the last update on zoom my mac takes forever to connect to a meeting (up to 10 minutes) and the app itself is running incredibly slow (often having to force quit).

When I eventually do connect my camera is glitchy (think Agent Smith in the Matrix) which it never was before.

Hi scuttydug,

I know the question sounds old, but have you try to remove and install the newest zoom client?

https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362983-So-deinstallieren-Sie-Zoom

Sometimes the client get broken during updates of zoom or macOS.

If this won't solve you problem, please let us know your macOS version and model (and processor).

@scuttydug

may this can solve you problem too:

Currently installing an older version of Zoom is the only way to fix it, below an official link for the latest version on 5.12.x for macOS. You'll need to uninstall your current version with Zoom open via the menubar. Make sure to avoid any update prompts until a fixed version has been installed.

This issue is happening with me with the latest version (5.15.5 on macOS 12.6.8)... 10 minutes to connect. This doesn't seem acceptable. AND lots of times it shows Application Not Responding and I have to start over. Very frustrating.
