So my Japanese is not fluent, but I have many different Zoom meeting in Japanese every day. I would like to be able to have the live Captions translated into English, or using AI to translate voice. Is anyone here aware of any solutions to this? The Zoom translated captions require the Host to enable them, so that is out - I can not convince a 100 managers to enable it. It should be something I do as a client, even if I have to pay.
Obviously I can use my phone, "Microsoft Translator" and have it translate live, but that isn't great in a headphone only situation. I can probably cook something up with a pseudo audio device and pipe into other software...
But it seems this would be one of the first things you would want with Zoom?

hi @jlundman
You can set your captions to your choice of language. However, full translation options are up to the owner of the account and the services they have purchased. There is a bigger translation upgrade package.
And things are developing quite quickly in this area.
hope that helps

Yeah I don't think Management care about big translation upgrade package, when we have 5000 staff, but less than 10 want translations. Which is why it needs to be client side, not host.
For now, I use Microsoft Translate which does on the fly translations on the phone, connect a web browser to the discussion with audio from Zoom. (Zoom audio to blackhole).
It works, and it is free. Zoom could have easily made a few bucks off me every month if they added the feature though.

@joergenlundman ,
As I said, choose captions in the language of your choice and see what comes up on your screen.

@joergenlundman It sounds like your company is already on a big plan. If your company is on the enterprise plan, then translated captions is already included, and no add-on is needed.
You just have to make sure that the admin has enabled the feature in the settings.
