I use dual monitor mode to project a second screen. With the change to Zoom Workplace, we now get a black border around that 2nd screen along with a Zoom Workplace logo in the upper left.
We really need the content of that window to be full screen like it used to be.
How do we get rid of that black zoom workplace border around the window?

Wow, when I first saw your solution, I was convinced it was not the issue, because we're dealing with the second screen which does not have meeting controls. However, after trying it, I see that this is in fact the fix.
It is a little annoying that the meeting controls on the other (primary) window are not always there, but they come up easily enough with the mouse over the window. I haven't tried running a meeting like this yet so don't know if there are any gotcha's here or not.
Thanks for the pointer.

This really helps to go fullscreen but now the bottom bar also disappears which I want to be always there. I just want that the new top bar disappears.
Is there a way to disable the top bar while still showing the mute button?

There are several choices assuming the device is a PC.
1. ALT will toggle the meeting controls on/off to show the mute button.
2. ALT+A will toggle the audio mute button on/off
3. The space bar will toggle the mute button off while it is held down and releasing the space bar will toggle the mute button back on.

yes ALT will toggle the new top bar and the bottom bar together. That significantly reduces the screen size. I'm always working on remote PCs so I would like to use my full screen to view the remote side and I want to still be able to mute with the button in the bottom bar. That gives the opportunity to drink or eat something without the customer to hear it. Meetings are mostly 4 hours. The bottom bar was always shown before and it was fine for me but the top bar is making me crazy. Space key is not usable because i'm using remote control and need to use the keyboard very often. I'm talking for a few minutes, so holding space would be also inconvenient for minutes. ALT+A also doesn't work since i'm remote controlling, so Zoom will send my keypresses to the remote PC. I just tested it.
After working with it about a week, Zoom workplace is a big step backwards in my opinion. Now it looks like MS Teams where you can't go real fullscreen. Or I need to live without the mute button. It was so nice the past 4 years. I can't understand why it was changed.
