How Do I Record Content and Speaker in a Split Screen?

Whobody

As an example, when I'm viewing the Zoom meeting I see the speaker in the right 50% and content in the left 50%.  That is my goal for a recording.  Is this possible through Zoom.

I could record my screen and call it good, but that would involve even more software and the chance of error goes up.

I appreciate your help.

I have a very similar question. I want my video feed in the corner when I record a presentation. I have done it before, but I can't seem to figure out how to pin my video to the recording. Even when audience members can see my video during the presentation, it's not there on the recording. How can we add our videos to the presentation recordings?

Hi @Whobody @StevenRHarris, thank you for posting to the Zoom Community!

I recommend checking out our support article here. It provides comprehensive instructions on how to set up your recording when sharing your screen. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to ask!

Thank you @CarlaA,
The support article was both helpful and confusing. It was helpful because I now realize that my dual monitor setup is part of the problem. However, there are conflicting instructions.

Under the Shared Screen or Window section there are instructions for "Share with participants video on top of shared content." The last bullet under this section states, "This layout isn’t available in dual monitor mode. Instead, the share with participants video next to shared content is used."

Then, in the instructions for "Share with participants video next to shared content" the last bullet states, "This layout isn’t available in dual monitor mode. Instead, the share with participants video on top of shared content is used."

So, now neither solution will work according to the instructions.

Please help.

Hi CarlaA.  The article doesn't cover, in any of the examples, a possible split-screen option for recording.

Just to confirm, there is not split-screen option when recording a Meeting or Webiner, correct?

Thanks,

Jeremy

@Whobody

 We believe that Zoom does not offer this Natively. Still, you can optimize your local recording files in the Zoom Recording settings to allow for the recordings to be edited by third-party software like Adobe, CapCut, Splice, etc. I will run some tests today, and I can send the results to you all via a DM on the community channel or another method.
