Fedora 42, Gnome 47 - Wayland screen sharing does not work

Hey,

I did a fresh installation of fedora 41 but it does not work for my hardware so I was pushed to try 42 - which works great. All apps are working in exception of Zoom screen sharing.

When I am trying to share screen I am getting:

Can not start screen share, choose one of the options:
- Install latest 'xdg-desktop-portal and 'xdg-dektop-potal-gnome'
- Switch to X11 display server

To support screen share

I have instaled both packages

rpm -aq | grep xdg-desktop-portal

xdg-desktop-portal-1.19.0-1.fc42.x86_64
xdg-desktop-portal-gnome-47.1-2.fc42.x86_64
xdg-desktop-portal-gtk-1.15.1-6.fc41.x86_64

And both portal and portal-gnome are running, what can I do in this case?

I found something interesting on that topic.

If I will do in my terminal "zoom-client" above issue is appearing. But if I will do "sudo zoom-client" it seems that xdg is detected correctly and sharing is working. What could be wrong?

Same for me. On X11 screen sharing is fine. With Wayland I see just a few options, e.g. sharing the second screen is not possible.

I am running open SUSE Tumbleweed, Gnome 47, Wayland, Linux 6.13.3-1-default and Zoom 6.3.10.

Any ideas when the issue will be solved really?
