Hello @SachinSrivastav! Thanks for the suggestion! However, we do not have information yet if there will be support for the virtual background for the Zoom Web App as of this time. I highly encourage you to submit this idea as feedback. You can check this article on how to submit one.

Why was this feature removed? It worked find in brave browser on linux a week ago. It works still in chromium. Brave is the same as chrome for the engine. I don't want to use chromium or chrome. This worked, and can work, but it seems like Zoom has done something deliberate to disable a formerly working feature.

It works with Ungoogled Chromium still so they must have added a browser check.

However, you are sadly wasting your time with Zoom support. They are disinterested in providing adequate Linux support. You only need to look at the sorry state of the desktop app, and the answers provided to questions in here, to understand that.

I am using Chromium and the feature is no longer there. And radio silence from Zoom as to why.

Does anyone have any ideas about this:  I show the virtual backgrounds, including the ones I added, in my advanced settings.  However, when I'm in a meeting, none of the virtual backgrounds is available (only "blur my background").  When I try to add the backgrounds when I'm actually in a meeting, I get a brief display of "spinning dots," but no background is added (even when I upload from "local" folders, not the cloud).

I have recently "upgraded" to Tahoe 26.x on my Mac, and this has caused difficulties with Zoom.  I have given all permissions that I can (according to advice online), but this doesn't help.  I've uninstalled and re-installed, Zoom, too.

(I'm now running Zoom on an "old," not upgraded Mac laptop, and there's no issue there, with backgrounds or anything else.)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
