On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Embed passcode in meeting link for one-click join not working - requiring users to put in a passcode

Hello!

I am confused by the embed passcode for one-click. I have this option turned on. Yet, at a meeting the other day, everyone reported that they had to enter the passcode when joining from the link. This is the first time anyone has said they needed to enter a passcode when joining from the link.

I am wondering if one of my settings is wrecking havoc with the one-click setting? I have attached two screenshots with my settings.

Thank you in advance, I appreciate your help!

Has anyone else had this problem? I am guessing not since no on has replied!

Yes.  Even though the "edit" function says the Link should not require a passcode, it does.

The only workaround I have found is to set "Waiting Room" on.

Not an optimal solution since now I must stay focused on the screen to give people access.

This has worked correctly for years, but does not now.

Embedding the passcode should allow participants to join with one click. As backup it's a good idea to include the passcode when you share the link with attendees in case they are prompted. If you want to automate this there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you send Zoom invites and reminders that include by the passcode by default.

No, no answer. You'd see it here. Hardly any of these questions get answered it seems, although there a few people on here who are helpful. The rest sound like bots.

I've now posted with about 5 different questions and NONE of them get answers although they all bring up that complaint from others—no useful replies. What a waste of time, especially when other free platforms have arrived. Thanks for nothing, Zoom!

Actually, I think this issue has been resolved with one of the many Zoom upgrades. I no longer have this issue.

As of today, 12/1/2024, the problem persists.
