On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Converting meeting recording hangs at 0% Fedora 38 linux x86_64

Raw files exist, but conversion hangs with no error messages, no Zoom process is using the CPU much.

Zoom client prints _no_ error messages to stdout.

Rebooted and restarted via Zoom menus, with same result.

Does this even work with linux,  what is the name of the conversion program so I can run it by hand from the shell?

I'm running X with the nvidia driver.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

any help? anyone?

I have the same problem on Ubuntu 23.04 x86_64.

I tried double-clicking the 'double_click_to_convert' file from a file manager that was run with sudo, and conversion was still stuck at 0% - this suggests it's not a just a permissions thing.

I am embarrassed to admit I solved the problem by copy/pasting the files to a Windows computer, double-clicking them in File Explorer, and letting the Windows version of Zoom do its thing. I encountered no problems with conversion on Windows.

What a great idea! I'll try it. 🙂

I do hope some conscientious developer at zoom notices this bug. 😉
