Control Display Names

Is there a way to update all my user's display names? We're implementing some sort of naming convention and make things standard looking. There is already a way to prevent users for changing their display names, but we're talking around 1200+ users to update display names.

Is there like a "CSV" way to do it? Thanks in advance.

Hi @martheson

I think you could do a User Export to CSV, make your changes externally, then do a User Import with the Update User Information option set. See screenshot below.

Beyond that, you could also script something with the API, I imagine.

Either way, I would run a test on just a few users first before applying widespread changes.

Hope this helps.
