Dear all,
I have a question about breakout rooms, it is not 100% clear to me how the limit of participants actually work.
Please, tell me, which of these 2 examples is correct:
1. We have 500 participants in one zoom conference, we will be able to assign them to up to 50 breakout rooms by 10 ppl per room
2. We have 500 participants in one zoom conference, we will be able to assign them to not more than 20 breakout rooms
I mean we will have 50 breakout rooms available in zoom conferences anyways, am I correct, no matter how many people we have in conference total?
Thank you for your answer

Hello,
My name is Brandon. Thanks for joining the Zoom Community! As the support article Managing Breakout Rooms indicates. If you have 500 participants, you can assign those 500 to 20 rooms for a maximum of 25 participants per room.
As this scale indicates, the more rooms you create, the fewer participants you can assign to each room. If you need more than 50 rooms and qualify for an upgrade, you can reach out to the Support Team, and they can increase your rooms to 100.

Hi, Brandon, thx for reply, but I still find your answer a bit controversial
May I give you one example:
we have 300 ppl in our conference, can we split them into 50 rooms by 6 ppl?
