Avatar option not showing on meeting screen

I did a test meeting with myself and can choose an avatar, however, it does not show on the meeting screen.  Can someone help me out? Thank you.

Click your profile picture, then click Settings. Click Background & Filters . Below the video preview, click the Avatars tab. Next to the None option, click the add icon
