Audio gain reduction and streaming.

I've been reading that when I use my Yamaha MG10XU mixer, the voice output to zoom (and then to remote attendees) is reduced and I must increase the gain and consequently more noise.    Is this true?

I'm running W11 on a thinkpad i7 64 bit, 24gb Memory.  Using Ethernet or wifi connections?  Zoom Ver 6.5.12

Thank you for your assistance.  Peter

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @Italiangen2022.

Would be helpful if you’d share the source you’re referring to.

Zoom by default reduces noise and attempts to provide a sound level that essentially matches what others are sending. So my initial thought is “Not true”, but depending on your audio settings, other things could be happening.
