I have an upcoming event and none of my special role tickets can register - it always only says "invited." I invited paying attendees and they can register, but my speakers/moderator cannot. Am I missing something?

Most likely you already have set their access to the event to be included in the Special Role ticket:

In this case, there's no reason for them to Register.  If you have instead selected Grant no attendee access for the Special Roles, then you need to make sure that your attendees have access to the registration forms (in case of domain restrictions, etc.) or pre-register them separately.
