Could you please elaborate your concern, are you receiving any error message while recording the powerpoint slides?
Also - could you please try to uninstall-reinstall the Zoom client to eliminate issues with the client itsef?

@carewren , you could also try to check the Recording setting(see screenshot below) to make sure that Record video during screen sharing in checked.
