Hi,
When I create a webinar there's now a sentence that appears on the registration page that I've never seen before. Does anyone know where I can find this sentence in the system to edit it?
It says "Information you provide when registering will be shared with the account owner and host and can be used and shared by them in accordance with their Terms and Privacy Policy."
We're getting a negative reaction about the word "share". It implies that we're sharing their personal information with others. I want to reword the sentence so that it doesn't alarm people. Also the anchor text "account owner" is not accurate anchor text to describe where the link goes. It does not go to information about the account owner. It goes to the Zoom article called "Understanding Zoom privacy alerts". (which in itself is confusing because it doesn't differentiate between attending meetings and attending webinars.)
If we can't edit it, I suggest that Zoom reword it to something like "Information you provide when registering can be viewed by the account owner. Each account owner is responsible for protecting personal information in accordance with legislation in their jurisdiction. The account owner may have a publicly posted Privacy Policy. Learn more about privacy by reading Understanding Zoom privacy alerts.

I agree. This wording is horrible. We need to be able to change/remove or we can't use registration per attorney's advice.

Success! I figured it out after asking Zoom's chat bot the same question in multiple ways. Finally, I got one that worked. So, basically, this does NOT overwrite their text but it creates a smaller paragraph below it. So, we wrote one that basically started out with "Additionally,........ " and added a Link, using their Link option, to our Privacy Policy. Note: You must check the box to Enable this option. The font in this paragraph will appear slightly smaller (there are no style options) than their font but at least it is in the right place. I was not able to attach a screenshot so here are the steps:
1) Go to your Webinar listing in Zoom, click "Edit"
2) Click on the "Invitations" Tab
3) Scroll down to "Registration Settings" section
4) Click "Edit" in that section (appears on the right)
5) Check the box to "Enable Disclaimer"
6) Write in your disclaimer and add your link (Privacy Policy, Terms, etc.). You can add text before or after the link once it appears in your paragraph to give it better context, because the link goes at the end of the paragraph. Be aware that this text is in addition to, not a replacement of their text.
7) Save your changes
😎 Refresh the registration page to view the results
Hope this helps!
