Meeting summary in the wrong language

Just got off a meeting and received the AI summary... in Japanese when we were all speaking English. I have no idea how to change it to English or why it was in Japanese in the first place. How to ensure the summary stays in English?

(all participants are in Japan, but ironically it's an English conversation club)

I apologize for the inconvenience caused by not receiving the meeting summary in your preferred language. Based on my understanding, if the captions for the meeting were enabled in Japanese, the meeting summary will be generated in the language set for captions. Hi folks did you find a solution for this? Just had a call that was fully in English, when the meeting AI notes came it it was in Filipino (local language in Philippines). How do we set it to use English? (which is also one of our official languages)

Sorry but I have the same issue even if I'm located in France, I had updated my zoom settings in English. The meeting was held in English language and
1 - The summary from AI companion I received is in French (understandable however).
2 - The transcription of the recording is a plate of spaghetti, as if the system tried mix French and English.

Not working Carla.  My meetings are 1/2 Spanish and 1/2 English.  Language is set to Spanish in the settings.  Sometimes receive summaries in Spanish and sometimes in English. I want to receive all in Spanish.  Why can’t Zoom give us a setting for this?

Actually, during the meeting, where everyone is speaking in english, and I ask AI companion in english, I get replies in various languages: in english, spanish, french,... Something is really weird!

The advice on captions does not work. The problem is Meeting Summary got produced in Spanish when it should have been English. Formerly when the Meeting Summary had this problem there was a "Translate" option available to correct Zoom's mistake. That is gone, and no amount of making changes to settings in account settings or in caption settings in the client prevents Zoom from going off on it's own and producing the Meeting Summary in the incorrect language. Zoom needs to reinstate the Translate function to fix this. This is totally unacceptable!

Hi the same thing has happened here. The captions for the meeting was in English. But the meeting summary was  generated into a local language.

Transcripts have been generated in French and Czech.

Is there a definitive answer on how to stop this and to be able to set the transcription language, setting at a global level would be ideal.

My English speaking speaker had a HINDI accent and and the summary is in HINDI.  Trying to get the summary into English!

Same issue has occurred on several occasions. 
Meeting is in english, participants in India. AI summary is in English, or Hindi or Tamil (Regional local language). My settings are all english. No one touched any CC. 
Poor experience.

I’m having the same problem.  I followed the link given by Zoom above and clicked on the cc button in the meeting window and set language to Spanish.  But I’m still receiving the email summaries in English.  I want them to be in Spanish.

Still looking for an answer to this. AI Companion is making an English meeting summary and it is sending the summary in Dutch. I want to forcibly set a language for the meeting summary.

I am facing the same issue too... 
Also, I am Maltese and speak the Maltese language. The AI summary gets generated in Arabic which I cannot even decipher as we use English like alphabet.

I have same issue.  I am using Zoom in Japan and have meetings in Japanese but receive AI summaries in English.  The account belongs to Japanese company and my setting is in Japan/Japanese.

We experienced the same issue, when my boss spoke in English, the recordings came through in Korean. I have noticed the Zoom summary has been becoming more problematic recently, especially in terms of accuracy, such as in an incident where two of our users spoke full Chinese. The overall summary generated was almost entirely incorrect, including people's names. 

I hope Zoom team can come with permanent fix to improving their summary accuracy.

I gave up on this. I started using loom AI.

Loom AI can summarise very accurate, record the meeting and can also link to Confluence and create a page, importantly, it set permissions on the recorded video and confluence page to the people who joined the meeting only which is really good.

So just stop using Zoom AI, use Loom AI instead.

What we are doing is, instead of using Zoom AI Summary, we take the Zoom meeting transcript and summarise it using internal GPTs, which are much more accurate than the existing Zoom AI Summary. We have done some testing, and it works well for us.

May I ask how to use Loom AI? Do I need to copy the transcription and have it run in Loom AI?
