Sound distortion when screensharing

I host a Zoom dance party every week and we've done this since March 2020. I always share the sound while using Spotify and it has worked wonderfully, but recently I got my new laptop and suddenly the sound is all messed up. When I play it regularly on the laptop, there is no problem, only if I share my screen. We also tested it on a different laptop and the same thing happened. My tablet on the other hand, with an older version of Zoom, is totally fine when I share the sound which makes me think it has something to do with the new version, maybe a setting I need to change? It is totally unusable the way that it is now. I've uninstalled Zoom and reinstalled it already, nothing changed. I need to do an important presentation where I share sound next week so I am trying to get this fixed. Thanks for your help!
