On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Hi, I conduct lessons on zoom and I post the lessons' recordings online. Zoom sent me a note saying that I don't have anymore room on cloud to save other recordings. If I delete the recordings on cloud I wont' be able to show the lessons on the website. What can I do?

Thank you,

Beatrice.

Hi, @Bea21.

 Your options are:

  •  Review all recordings, and remove any that aren’t needed. If you’ve never deleted any recordings, you probably have a bunch that aren’t “lessons” and can be removed.
  •  Purchase a monthly Cloud Storage add-on from this page: https://zoom.us/pricing

  • Get a DropBox account and enable the option there to automatically copy Zoom recordings there. DropBox’s cost per MB can be significantly less than the Zoom Cloud storage fee.
  • … or some combination of the above.

Establishing a time limit for how long your lessons will be available for students is also a good idea, otherwise your library of sessions will just grow larger every day.
