Healthcare Customer Stories at Zoomtopia 2022

On Nov. 8-9, healthcare, biotech, and pharmaceutical excerpts gathered (virtually) for Zoomtopia to discuss how providers can evolve care, streamline operations, elevate patient experiences, and bring their organization into the future. We heard from customers like Mount Sinai Health System, Baptist Health South Florida, Ashvattha Therapeutics, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals who shared some best practices with us.

Joseph Gimigliano, Mount Sinai’s Chief Technology Officer, emphasized the importance of flexibility for patients and providers in the technology they deploy - “Our North Star is to improve patient care and medical research… to empower and enable a simpler experience so that patients, doctors, and research staff need one click or swipe on a screen to get what they need to help others.”

Anuj Vohra, Technical Director at Baptist Health South Florida shared the importance of integrations to support better patient and provider experience. Baptist uses an electronic health record (EHR) integration with Zoom to make it easier to schedule, join, and document telehealth visits directly in a patient’s EHR platform.

And we closed out our customer best practices by hearing from Life Sciences companies Ashvattha Therapeutics and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Jennifer Herber from Ashvattha Therapeutics shared how they turned to Zoom to take a different approach to their clinical trials. “[Using Zoom]  to recruit for clinical trials expands the net, since it’s not as taxing on patients’ time and schedule. Patients want to help, so taking the travel burden off their shoulders is essential.”
