i downloaded zoom on my windows 8.1 pc from the zoom download page. but i can't sign in from there with google. when i click on the sign in with google from the app it redirects me to chrome from where i authorize the sign in. on that page it says zoom should launch in a few seconds, if not click button below and there is a button "launch zoom". i tried waiting and clicking the button but nothing happens. i tried closing the app and tried again but still the same thing. i also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but i cant sign in. i have an interview tonight and it requires me to sign in from the desktop app. so what is the solution here? please help

I had the same issue with Windows 11 home edition. Then I found it's not the problem with Zoom app. It's with Windows settings. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Default apps -> select Google chrome browser and click on set as default browser. Then restart the Zoom app and everything worked fine for me.
