Freezing in MacOS Ventura on MacBook M1 Pro

I am experiencing frequent freezing (and occasional drop-outs) during Zoom meetings when using my MacBook M1 Pro. Sometimes just the audio stutters but more commonly the program freezes and then picks up randomly at some unpredictable interval. Sometimes I get a message that my internet connection is unstable, but more often no message. Video in other programs doesn't have this problem. I am uncertain whether this is my wireless connection, a MacBook M1 problem, a Zoom problem or where to look first to diagnose the issue. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.
