Solved

This doesn't seem possible currently, but I would like to be able to create "breaks" in the business hours in Zoom. For example, I would like to be able to set my hours from 8am to 12pm, and 1pm to 5pm, each day so my phone doesn't ring while I'm on lunch. Granted, I can set to DND but I have a more unique example where that's not the best option. We are a university and faculty have different class times where they don't want to receive calls on their computers while in class. Sure they can set DND while in class, but if they don't remember to set it, they will get a call in the middle of class. It seems like it would be useful to be able to set multiple business hours for each day. Does anyone else have a suggestion?

I regularly host online teaching sessions on Zoom and frequently use breakout rooms so that students can work in smaller groups. My breakout room settings are configured so that participants automatically join their assigned breakout rooms when I open the rooms. Most of the time, this works as expected.Occasionally, however, a participant does not join the assigned breakout room. On my Breakout Rooms panel, the participant's status then shows as “Not Joined”. The participant remains in the Main Room and is able to speak to me and ask for assistance in joining the assigned breakout room. This creates a problem. When I click on the name of a participant whose status is “Not Joined”, Zoom displays the “Move to” option, but only allows me to move that participant to one of the other breakout rooms. There is no option to move the participant to the Main Room.By comparison, when I click on a participant who has successfully joined a breakout room (shown with the green status indicator), the “Mo

Can I get a definitive answer from Zoom about the order of participants who have their hand raised?  My understanding is similar to this answer, ordered in the participant list by who raised their hand first, which makes sense.  Is the gallery view sorted that way as well? https://community.zoom.com/t5/Zoom-Meetings/The-list-of-participants/m-p/106901

The auto-correction in Zoom Chat is frustrating. There is currently no way to turn it off on Linux/Fedora.For example, when I type:ich habe am 01.01. eine Nachricht erhaltenZoom automatically changes it to:Ich habe am 01.01. Eine Nachricht erhaltenIt capitalizes both the first character of the message and the word after 01.01., apparently treating the date as the end of a sentence.I have disabled IBus/Typing Booster auto-capitalization, and the behavior still occurs only in the Zoom desktop client. This appears to be Zoom’s own chat editor. Please add a setting to disable all automatic capitalization and text corrections. Users should be able to send exactly the text they type.

once I try to install zoom from rpm on my current fedora (44) workstation, I get an error:Failed to read package header from file "zoom_x86_64.rpm"It is possible to workaround using commands such as sudo rpm -Uvh --nosignature --nodigest /(...path...)/zoom_7.1.0.3715_x86_64.rpmbut it looks like there is some problem with the packages. it first appeared on zoom 7.0.5 rpm (previous linux version).Claude claims the problem may be related to rpm 6.0 installed on fedora, meaning zoom packages the zoom app using an obselete rpm protocol (rpm v3), I doubt it since it looks like rpm 6 has been around for a while - but problems appeard only last month.thank you

I last used Zoom about 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday, I opened Zoom on my Windows PC, and may have updated it to the current version.  Now my contacts list is empty.  I had two before, now there are none.  This is in the Contacts pane of the Zoom Workplace window.I noticed that when I first started the app this morning, the Zoom window started up with an unusual format, then refreshed to a more familiar format which showed both of my contacts, then refreshed again and the contacts were no longer displayed. My contacts are displayed correctly in the Android phone app.

Hi, Recently I have run into a problem that have never been an issue. The Team Chat required me to press Ctrl+Enter to send a message, Pressing Enter only could make it go down a row.Pressing Enter to send was much faster and more convenience.I think it started since the latest Update. I use the Team Chat quite a lot. So it should be helpful if you could switch it back like it used to be.Thanks.

I do not have time to click person by person during a discussion meeting. Most times their suggestions come to me (the host) via the chat and I do not want others to see their inputs. Now, I have to click name by name to check their inputs. Ridiculous when I have almost 100 people in the meeting.I need to be able to read all incoming messages quickly at a glance as we are discussing stuff. Please allow us to choose if we want to see all messages at a glance instead of having to click user by user!

I regularly (1-2 a week) get added to webinars by random people/companies that I never asked to be joined to. Yes, they’re kind of in my industry (IT), but I never accept and often, when trying to get removed, end up in a loop I can’t get out of. Never used to get this with Zoom in previous years. Is there some setting I need to turn on/off? I get enough spam on my phone without having to deal with it on Zoom. Would have asked a rep, but appreantly the AI bot couldn’t figure out I was logged in and kept demanding I logged in before talking to a rep.

Hi, I have a Zoom Phone Basic plan with 1 license/1 number. Need clarity on the following:How many laptops can I log into simultaneously using this single license/number? Can outgoing calls be made from all logged-in laptops at the same time, or only one outgoing call per number at a time? For cost saving, if I purchase an additional number (without a new license) and assign it to a new user’s email, is this possible? How many laptops can that additional number be logged into simultaneously? Will that additional number support both inbound and outbound calling, or does it require a separate license for outgoing calls?Appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

I use Zoom for meeting, messages, and phone calls for my work. I was excited when in September 2023 Zoom and Android Auto announced Zoom will now be an app in Android Auto, see https://news.zoom.us/zoom-for-android-auto/ and https://blog.google/products/android/new-apps-for-android-auto-and-cars-with-google-built-in/ and yet I still don't have an app for Zoom in Android Auto yet and I can't figure out why. Anyone know how to enable the Zoom Meetings app to work in Android Auto? I have a 2019 Honda Pilot and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone software and apps are all up to date.

Hi, at the end of the meeting. ZOOM didn't convert the meeting. I go to manually converted from Meeting - Recording. I open the folder and then I double click the file named: "double_click_to_convert_01" and I get the message: " Failed to convert recording. There is another recording conversion in progress, please convert this recording later from Meetings>Recording". Any help?

I am using basic Zoom for GSuite. My Zoom meetings should be 40 minutes (and it says so in the upper left-hand corner of the Zoom window. Zoom cuts off at exactly 30 minutes. I've complained of this to Zoom's technical support before, but they never addressed the problem (they kept telling me to get a different account).  I've wondered whether students joining the meeting before the host is counted at part of the 40 minutes. I have turned off "Allow participants to join the meeting before the host arrives" but I'm still getting messages students that students have joined the meeting room. Any ideas about what I can do?

Help me  get into my meeting its in 5 minutes

Hi, I’ve been having this issue with my mouse cursor for a month. It started happening after I updated my Windows version to Windows 11, but I’m not sure whether these events are connected or not. When I’m sharing a PPT or Google Slides, which are the main content I usually share, everything works normally. However, whenever I need to transition to a new tab, such as Google Docs or Youtube, while still screen sharing, my mouse cursor completely disappears and I cannot do anything about it. It has been so frustrating, because I cannot click on anything, not even on “stop sharing”, and I just have to wait for it to be back. My students say they still see my mouse cursor as I’m moving it desperately trying to get its control back.  I have searched for a solution for this issue in this forum, but most of the results I got are from years and years ago, and none of the recommendations given solved my problem - such as updating Zoom’s version. Can someone please help me? I’d really appreciate
