Welcome to the Zoom Community, @Elaine H! We're excited to have you here!
If you’re using a Basic (free) Zoom account, your meeting can run for up to 40 minutes when there’s a host and at least one participant.
A few things are worth keeping in mind:
- A meeting with the host and one or more participants ends after 40 minutes.
- A meeting can stay open longer if the host is the only person in it, as long as the meeting remains active.
- If a meeting starts without the host, the 40-minute limit still applies based on the host’s Basic account limit.
