Android Auto Support

I use Zoom for meeting, messages, and phone calls for my work. I was excited when in September 2023 Zoom and Android Auto announced Zoom will now be an app in Android Auto, see https://news.zoom.us/zoom-for-android-auto/ and https://blog.google/products/android/new-apps-for-android-auto-and-cars-with-google-built-in/ and yet I still don't have an app for Zoom in Android Auto yet and I can't figure out why. Anyone know how to enable the Zoom Meetings app to work in Android Auto? I have a 2019 Honda Pilot and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone software and apps are all up to date.

Hello there!

I'm sorry for the late response and thank you for your contributions.

Our engineering team has temporarily withdrawn the Zoom Auto to address reported issues and ensure a seamless experience for all users. At this time, we do not have an estimated release date, but we will keep you updated.

For now, thank you for your patience and understanding.

I have this same question and was told by my IT department that "Zoom should just be there." It isn't. I'm using Pixel 7. All software is up to date from Google Play.

I can only say "same issue". Samsung Galaxy S23 + Cupra, Audi and Skoda cars (all Volkswagen AG). I heard rumors that it's only available on a few selected car brands at the moment but it getting close to a year since introduced.

It seems it was offered (https://support.zoom.com/hc/sv/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0069088) but later pulled.

It is in the beta track of zoom on android, and I can see and start it in the Android Auto launcher, but so far I've only gotten it to tell me I have no upcoming meetings, including when I have a meeting running on the same phone already, so I'd say the benefit is still not there.

Hello, any plans on releasing this functionality again? It was withdrawn almost 2 months ago, hopefully Zoom Auto was fixed...

Best,

AS

Zoom did show up for me on Android Auto recently.  I haven't had an opportunity to try it yet.  It seems like it is just meetings.  I would love a phone option as well.

Zoom for Android Auto isn't working very well. Whereas Phone, Google Voice, Spotify/Plex, WhatsApp doesn't require force connection through phone to listen to a call, Zoom does. This means some car configurations are incompatible. How do I submit a bug report?

Audio is also not working for me. I was intrigued by "force connection through phone to listen to a call", how do I do that to actually allow to hear anything in my car's system?

Anyone get anywhere with this?
Zoom shows up in Android Auto on my Google Pixel 7, but not on my Samsung Galaxy S25.
