Why do I get added to random stupid webinars?

I regularly (1-2 a week) get added to webinars by random people/companies that I never asked to be joined to. Yes, they’re kind of in my industry (IT), but I never accept and often, when trying to get removed, end up in a loop I can’t get out of. Never used to get this with Zoom in previous years. Is there some setting I need to turn on/off? I get enough spam on my phone without having to deal with it on Zoom.

Would have asked a rep, but appreantly the AI bot couldn’t figure out I was logged in and kept demanding I logged in before talking to a rep.

    Hi Ian,

This is a frustratingly common issue that's been growing on Zoom, and you're definitely not alone — the Zoom community forums are full of similar complaints. Here's what you can do:

How to Stop Unwanted Zoom Webinar Invites

Use the "Unsubscribe" Link in the Webinar Email

Zoom has added an "Unsubscribe from all webinar communications" link in webinar invite emails. This is the most direct route:

    • Open the invite email from Zoom
    • Scroll to the bottom and look for the unsubscribe option
    • This should stop that specific host/organization from adding you again
    • Report to Zoom's Trust & Safety Team

If unsubscribing doesn't work or you keep getting re-added:

    • Go to Zoom's Trust & Safety Report Form
    • Report the webinar host for unsolicited/spam registrations
    • This is the most effective escalation path when the loop issue occurs

    Block at the Email Level

Since Zoom sends webinar invites via email , you can filter them out before they even reach you:

    • In Outlook/Microsoft 365 or Gmail, create a rule to filter/block emails addresses
    • This won't stop the registrations, but it stops the inbox clutter

    Disable Auto-Accept for Calendar Invites

If these webinars are showing up on your calendar automatically:

    • In Outlook: Go to File → Options → Calendar and turn off "Automatically accept meeting requests"
    • In Apple Calendar: Check Preferences → Accounts and disable auto-accept

Unfortunately, there's no single Zoom account setting (as of now) that blocks all unsolicited webinar registrations — Zoom doesn't currently offer a "block all webinar invites" toggle in user settings, which is a gap many users have flagged.

Regarding the support bot issue — that's a known frustration too. If you ever need to reach a live Zoom rep, try to submit ticket to our support team or send an email to customer-success-advisor@zoom.us
