Zoom is becoming a busted, unworkable application on modern Linux desktops.  Linux systems are quickly and aggressively moving to Wayland & Pipewire for graphical sessions because they are more secure than the outdated, fragmented x11 standards.  In fact, more and more Linux distributions are going Wayland-only, or at least Wayland by default. KDE and GNOME are both deprecating x11 support. Zoom has not kept up.  The screen-sharing problems on the NVIDIA/Wayland/Pipewire/Zoom stack are well-known and well-documented.  You basically share a black screen that crashes your call when you stop sharing.  The settings menus are not helpful (and yes, I have tried all of them).  Screen-sharing just doesn't work well on the Linux client with very-common hardware and OS configurations, and the only workaround is to run it on an x11 session.  This is a notable defect, and the problem really appears to be contained to Zoom.  

When will be available a repository for DEB and RPM Zoom's packages? It's hard to keep an eye on the updates and download and install manually. I would like if my system find the updates during the regular update.

I am new to Zoom Contact Center. When I design an IVR Flow and try to send data to a CRM system using the HTTP Call widget, I face an issue.When I send Digit input collected from the caller, the data is sent successfully. However, when I try to send other values such as Caller ID, Caller Number, or Callee Number, the data is empty and not passed to the CRM.This usually happens because those call-related values are not automatically available to the HTTP Call widget unless they are explicitly mapped or stored in variables earlier in the flow.

It seems there is no way to stop spammers from just adding you to their webinar. I get added nearly every week to some spammer's zoom meeting trying to sell some product. There is no spam option on the invite or way to report them. There is only a cancel meeting option and contact organizer.  Why doesn't zoom add in a feature to report them or remove the option to just upload a list they purchased of names and emails??

I host Photo Competions for our club and have for a long time.    Just recently we noticed on Zoom that on certain mages that have darker backgrounds that the dark colors can look brighter, muddy or washed out, especially where the tonality changes a little.   We have run several tests on this and it is not an issue in the image and all my setttings appear to be fine.    Anyone else having these issues?   Thanks for any replies in advance.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? I know how to trim from start or end, but not how to cut out a few minutes from the middle of the recording.  Thank you! 

I was having trouble with Zoom calls shutting down my iPhone 13 due to overheating the phone, so yesterday I bought a brand new iPhone 15. Fully updated. Installed Zoom. Got on a Zoom call today and after 35 minutes the same thing happened and the phone had to cool down, which drops the meeting.  Today I intentionally did not plug the phone into the charger while on the Zoom call since that seems to cause more heat.  I also had the air conditioning going in my vehicle while on the call so that the ambient temperature was cool.  I don't know what else to do.  Thank you for any suggestions.

These values either come through empty or are not included in the payload.I wanted to ask:Are caller metadata fields available by default in the HTTP Call widget?Do they see explicit mapping or assignment to variables earlier in the flow?Is there a recommended way to capture and pass these values reliably?If anyone has handled this before or can point me to the right approach, I’d appreciate the guidance.Thanks in advance.

I've been using the Zoom Whiteboard (not the physical whiteboard) on my computer with a Wacom drawing tablet.  Unfortunately, something has changed and now my penstrokes are being eaten and replaced with dots.  I believe this is some kind of double click detection or some other gesture. Here I try to write the especially problematic letter "F" 7 times.  It failed each time.Here I tried to write the simple equation "y = mx + b"And here I wrote the alphabet and "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" without corrections.Each of these was done with Windows Ink active and has a little Windows Ink ripple effect whenever it happens.  When I disable Windows Ink, it still happens, but without the ripple and less frequently.  Is this a known problem with a known fix?  It makes it pretty much impossible to use the whiteboard. EDIT:  I accidentally added this discussion to the wrong place, but I don't see how to move or delete it.

Zoom video and sound freezes intermittently so often that my clients are giving up on the meetings.  After all, they have better things to do.   Zoom version is6.6.10.2831 (1222).  Using Safari on a MacBook Pro.  WiFi signal is strong.  All apps are up-to-date.  My location is Texas.  This is happening consistently on video calls with people in Colorado. What can be causing this?  What is the solution?

Hello, I work for an MSP that supports both Windows and Mac devices. Over the last month, we've noticed that users of specifically LENOVO devices (laptops) are experiencing an issue where their devices crash whenever they enter meetings. The devices lock up and need to be hard shut down and rebooted to operate again. We've tried reinstalling zoom, turning off hardware acceleration, making sure the device is up to date etc. This seems to be something related to how Zoom and Lenovo are interacting at the software level, but we need a solution ASAP, as this behavior is spreading across all client using Lenovo devices!

Anyone else getting invitations to zoom calls from spammers?This used to happen a lot to me on other platforms, but it seems that they have now moved to Zoom instead! At least on the other platform it was very easy to report it as spam - but I don't see that here - and the Zoom support AI bot can't handle it !! Hello,i want to use the wide angle camera on my iPad air. Clearly Zoom has access to it since center stage works fine, but how can i use it without center stage?I need it for my online music lesson as my whole instrument should be visible.

Since I updated the app on my iPad 10 on the 16th of December, every time I leave the main window to share a file through Google Drive, share a link from Safari or share my screen, my Zoom crashes and I have to sign back into the meeting I was hosting.  For about 15 seconds after, my account can be seen in two windows to my participants (one frozen from when my Zoom crashed and the other working regularly of when I signed back in). There was an update on the 17th that had bug fixes, but it didn't solve the problem. I tried restarting my iPad to no avail.   Is anyone else having the same issue?

Hello - just updated zoom today (11.02.22) and it seems like Original Sound needs to be turned on manually every time now. For the last few months it was already always on once I did it initially ... and this was so amazing. No more messing up meetings where I share audio or workshops where we're working on music things and I just know its going to sound amazing from the beginning without the extra awkward "wait let me turn on original sound". Is there a way for me to turn original sound on and let it be that way forever on the newest version? If not...can this become a thing please?

I am having great difficulty in working out how to view my meetings now. The Zoom Meetings home page used to have a tab labelled 'Meetings', this has now gone and it seems that it has all been migrated to Calendar so there is now no longer a simple definitive 1 page list of future meetings that can be viewed. Also when setting up a meeting there no longer is a tab labelled 'Copy Invitation' once it has been completed. There have been some radical and none too helpful changes recently and not for the better by any means!!

We've run a few Events now and we've encountered the following issue with our survey responses: Responses to event surveys & polls are not being displayed in the Surveys & Polls dashboard (under Event Analytics). We're able to pull a custom report or just download the table data where it does show that there actually were responses to a particular survey. Could this be a product issue that needs to be addressed? Thank you for the help with this concern,Manuel

Hello ,I have a German account. A Paid account. For several weeks now, I have been unable to turn my “original musician sound” on and off. It is always on and even cannot be turned off in the audio settings at the bottom left. Who can help, please?

The meetings tab at the top of the page has now gone again. The only way it appears that you can view upcoming meetings is to use the Calendar option which will only provide a single day by day format. There is no way to view a summary list of all meetings which is really useful, so why was this removed?

Hello,   My name is Eyvanna and I am a Technical Recruiter. Recently, I have been working with a candidate who has suffered severe profound hearing loss. He communicates well via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, so long as the live captions are on. The company he has been interviewing with, uses Zoom as a company standard for video interviews and meetings. My team and I have scoured the web looking for live closed-captioning options for Zoom, and have not been able to find any options that are not paid features through a third party. Some solutions require a subscription and monthly fees, others you pay 0.99 cents or more per minute.    The interview process has been very frustrating for myself and the candidate due to a lack of live closed captioning options.    Can anyone offer solutions?

My Participants Pane doesn't show all the connected viewers. They show up in the Gallery view, even if they don't have a camera enabled/turned-on. I am running Zoom on LinuxLinux Mint 22.2KDE Plasma 5.27.12KDE Frameworks 5.115.0QT Ver 5.15.13Kernel 6.16.11GUI X11 I'd like to post a picture, but I can't right now. わかる方がいたら教えてください。昨日アップデートし最新バージョンにしたところ、左下に「常に自分を中央に表示する」とポップアップで表示されました。「する」を選択してしまったのですが、元の設定へ戻す方法がわかりません。調べたところ左上の歯車設定でビデオ設定のところから「常に自分を中央に表示する」をＯＦＦにするとなっていましたが項目が見つからずもとへ戻せません。全体を映し出す状態へ戻す設定の方法をわかる方がいたら教えていただけると助かります。よろしくお願いします。
