I am new to Zoom and all I want is a replacement for Skype. Where is the phone icon so that I can call my mother? Please!

Is it possible to limit recording access for specific users/departments/sites.  I'll explain a bit further as I know I can create roles, but here is a scenario: User A at Site A has all their calls recording for auditing purposes. Someone who can can review the calls for Site A sees the calls from User A as expected. User B works at Site B in HR, and by default does not have their calls recorded.  When User A calls User B the call is still recorded because we record user A's calls.  Is there a way to prevent the auditor for Site A from listening to that call.   We use to use DVS Analytics that allowed us to provide some logic to that calls were excluded.

June 11, 2025I noticed that during a meeting I Hosted today, in the Host Tools, there was no Waiting Room option. I couldn't turn on a Waiting Room.We don't like to have it on all the time because the Owner has to show up daily to let everyone in and that's not possible. We like for the Host to be able to turn it on once they get to the meeting.It was last available, that I noticed, on May 28, 2025. Has it been off all June? How do we let Hosts turn it on and off for their meetings? Hi, I have a new problem which I didn't have in the past.I'm a Mac user (both Mac mini and MacBook Air) and having Sequoia 15.5. OS. Zoom version is 6.4.12.I update operating systems and applications always when available.Now when I schedule a new meeting and push "save", it doesn't offer any more to take it to the calendar as a calendar mark.I have not changed any security or other settings. Same problem has popped up to both devices - Mac mini and MacBook Air.Any thoughts what might have happened and how to fix this? My iPhone Zoom app works fine and offers sending the email invitation as it should.

I know that I can configure a meeting to record automatically when the meeting starts. I would like to do the same with captioning, that is, have captioning start when the meeting is started. Of cosre this shold be available as a meeting option, so it can be turned on or off for any given meeting.  This options should be available in the same screens and devices where the auto record setting is available.Thanks for considering this request. 

I'm on Ubuntu 22.04 and when I try to do some changes in Settings ... it's not possible due broken UI /General, /Audio, /Notofications.I dont have permission to upload images ... soo I hope this will get some attention. 

The new "docs" feature looks very flexible but is it possible to print a PDF from it to allow me to circulate it to members of my group.

Our T57W Yealink phones were experiencing intermittent audio issues. We found that they were not on the latest Yealink firmware. Instead of 97.87.0.15 that was released March 10, 2025, they were still on 96.86.3.17. The Zoom Chat Agent couldn't explain why they haven't pushed out the latest release, does anyone know?  After I manually updated the firmware on each device through the IP GUI the audio issue hasn't resurfaced.  I just hope to not have to manually update the next time Yealink releases a firmware update.    

Hello,  Does anyone know how to apply a custom background and organization logo to replace the default Poly logo and background? We have about 200+ Edge E220s and I would love to integrate that element into our setup.  Many thanks.

I can access the chat with the messages but not the documents. I know the documents are somewhere as the history of the meeting is showing they are there.  But I can't download them.  I click to download them and it won't work. How do I access them.  Any help gratefully received. Thank you 

Perhaps Zoom is attempting to build an Apple-like walled garden with the AI features but I don’t need to work with 3 different task managers.  Does anyone know if or how you can export the recommended task lists AI Meeting Summaries generates?  I want a quick simple way to export the Zoom task list into the task manager app I’ve been using for the last 10 years thanks!

How can I use Polycom Gp 500 Camera for Zoom meeting. What are tge hardware and software required.

Normally I can run a webinar and record using QuickTime in high-resolution. Today, I could not do that when the Zoom Webinar was active but I could record with QuickTime when the webinar was not active. Does any one have any solutions to this? I'm looking to record the webinar, record the same webinar via quicktime without the slides that way I can edit a nice video together using both.  Let me know. 

I am the first person in the call queue and when I answer an incoming call using my mobile device, the switch icon appears at the top of my desktop Zoom app.  If nothing is selected, it will automatically switch from my mobile device to the desktop app without me doing anything.  I have reached out to Zoom and they are suggesting that I turn off my desktop application for phones but I never had this issue until I switched from a Galaxy to an iPhone.  We just recently added a Zoom Room to our account and thought that maybe it was detecting the Zoom Room so i can switch to that but calls I have answered while at home still have the switch icon at the top.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?  What am I missing? 

I cannot work out why this is happening. I have updated profile to ensure has correct first and last name and yet once in a zoom session I cannot edit my name and its appearing as Surname, first .  Help with this please .....

I have a PRO licence, and I have checked that I want my meeting recordings in HD quality.But Zoom keeps compressing the living faeces out of my recordings. I have plenty of harddrive, and I record my meetings locally, but a recording that ought to weight around 3-4 GB is compressed into 600MB and it looks like faeces. There are strange artifacts everywhere, and black areas tend to become glimps of red. I need it to be high quality, and would definitely prefer no compression at all over this. So my question is: Are there any way that I can entirely disable the video compression? 😞

Hi,Anyone know how to create an audio & visual release form that people can agree to prior to pressing the JOIN button on zoom.  I have experienced this prior to joining a zoom call and I would like to create it.  Any suggestiongs?  Thanks!

Today, I received a notice that I reached my three whiteboard session limit. I have a Pro account, and I have never seen this before. Has Zoom recently changed its pricing structure to limit whiteboard usage?

I was on a call with my therapist just now and I could hear a male voice talking, although there was no one else on the zoom call with us. It sounded as if he was talking to someone else (like he was on another call) and couldn't hear us. This lasted for about 15 minutes, while I closed all other taps and apps on my computer, thinking it could be a video playing or another programme running in the background. The voice continued intermittently, and eventually we ended the call and continued on another platform. Very freaky! How did this happen, and are there any settings I should be using to prevent this?

I've got two issues with freezes under zoom. Both started happening after I added a webcam to my system. Before I'd join the meeting with my iPad (for the camera) and my desktop (for screen sharing). Now with the web cam: 1. Randomly, my wireless mouse stops working. I need to unplug and plug in the receiver to get the mouse working again. 2. If I try to screen share, the zoom app freezes up and I need to force quit and rejoin the meeting. I'm running Zoom client Version: 5.9.3 (1911) under Linux/debian. Any suggestions?

Hi,Yesterday a colleague of mine ran a zoom meeting for which we cannot find the recording. I sent the invite for the meeting so the Zoom link was coming from my account but I only briefly joined the session (just to allow the recording of it).At that point, the host appeared to be the room from where my colleague was presenting it. Neither of us can find the recording of the meeting in their Zoom account. Can you please help?

Hi I have one meeting recorded on my computer was in wired ratio, 1920x2560, which makes the side-by-side view very tiny to watch. The recording I made on the day before or after that all had no issue at all. Seems just this meeting got this problem.  Any idea what the reason of this? I didn't find any settings to change the horizontal or vertical. Thanks
