The video processing tools feel biased against those with darker skin tones. Zoom is an integral part of work and how we do business. Careers depend how one shows up on Zoom in meeting and interviews. Sadly, Zoom does not seem to be able to handle lighting adjustments for people with darker skin tones.  The person is either too dark or over exposed.  As a result, darker skinned folks tend to have their cameras off more often which creates disengagement.  This has a tremendous impact on work and society.  It means that people with darker skin tones have to work harder at work to look good on Zoom.  It means that diversity takes a back seat in the workplace.  With all of the available video processing tools, this should not be an issue at all.  This feels like a testing bias that could easily be remedied once you are aware of the challenge.

Tonight I was unable to hold a meeting due to an echo from 4 out of the 5 particpants.  We tried turning off each microphone, changing hosts, restarting our computers, and leaving the meeting and signing in again.  We finally gave up. What is going on with Zoom?

Hello! I have an Acer Aspire Lite AL15-42P-R41D laptop. While in a Zoom conference, the laptop periodically reboots (1-2 times every hour). The conflict only occurs when using Zoom. There are no issues with other applications, this has been 100% verified. I completely reinstalled the operating system; it is not the issue. Is there a solution to this problem?

We created a Zoom Hub, tested out an event set up to make sure all our settings were good, then turned it into a template. Now the new events made from the template are sending the recording link to the test recording, instead of the new meeting's recording. The event's email set up shows the correct recording's name in the configuration window, but isn't correct once it is actually sent. The subject of the email is for the correct meeting, but the content of the email shows the TEST meeting's name and provides the link to the TEST recording instead. The new meeting IS being recorded and shows up as available in the Hub. I've also hidden the test event and its recording from the hub's lobby. Does anyone know why the wrong recording is being sent to the attendees of new events/meetings?

Zoom will not open on my iMac with Sequoia OS.   I get an error message  "You can’t open the application “zoom.us” because this application is not supported on this Mac.I try to open it via Safari and I get distorted audio which seems to interfere with other members of meeting.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but it does not work.

Hi there, we began using Zoom phone ~1 year ago for our small business and have never been fully satisfied. I find the set up and customization of features confusing and don't have anyone else on my team who can help me with it. I would greatly appreciate set up guidance and would be happy to pay someone for their expertise. Some context on what we do and what I'm looking for: We're a specialty auto repair shop open M-F 8:30am to 5:30pm. We field many calls a day from retail customers and individuals at other businesses we work with. Calls are typically to schedule appointments or ask for updates on repair/parts/etc. Our General Manager is responsible for answering calls. He has a company-owned iPhone with Zoom installed on it. If he's unavailable, the calls ring through to my account. One big problem: our GM's phone no loner has a cellular plan, so if he's not on wifi he can't receive Zoom calls. Is anything other than the WP810/825 family supported on Zoom? I can't seem to find any options that don't require a DECT infrastructure. We are trying to replace our on Prem Cisco system and the performance of the WP810 and 825 has been quite poor. Yealink makes the ax-83H but that doesn't seem to be supported for some reason?

It looks like Zoom has determined that the entire world is incorrect with the definition of "Minimize" and has taken it upon themselves to rewrite the definition, for their own purposes. When you click minimize and you expect it to, um, I don't know....MINIMIZE, it instead gives you a little useless window that has top focus above your other apps.  Well, here is my personal opinion:  #FAIL It's really just a bad idea. How do I disable this annoying "feature"? Please, for the love of God, just    MAKE.    IT.    GO.    AWAY.  

I've been reading that when I use my Yamaha MG10XU mixer, the voice output to zoom (and then to remote attendees) is reduced and I must increase the gain and consequently more noise.    Is this true?  I'm running W11 on a thinkpad i7 64 bit, 24gb Memory.  Using Ethernet or wifi connections?  Zoom Ver 6.5.12 Thank you for your assistance.  Peter

I would like to be able to filter matched queries that I have already coached and trained. I would expect coached queries to drop from the list of matched queries or there should be a filter to hide "coached queries". Do they never disappear? If not, how is that scalable? If they should be dropping from the list, what step am I missing? My steps are:1. Navigate to Intent Management.2. Scroll to an Intent group.3. Select an intent within the group.4. Click on the Coach tab.5. Click the check box next to queries to be coached.6. Add to training phrases.7. Train.8. Hi, I've seen various posts about messages in the waiting room and sending messages to invitees when a meeting is cancelled, but my need is as follows:I run a ukulele club which uses Zoom for remote attendees. Occasionally, I need to inform members that the session isn't taking place on a particular week. The problem is that the Zoom meeting number is known by a lot of people, not all of whom I have contact details for.Therefore, I need to set up a message informing people when they enter the meeting that the session is cancelled. I don't use a waiting room as I don't want to be constantly admitting people during playing songs, as not all are able to join the sessions right at the start.Is there something like a pop-up screen that I can use to put a message on?ThanksPaul

I am going to use zoom on my samsung tablet but I was hoping to be able to see the chat screen and the video participants at the same time. I can't figure out how to do it. Please help!

It feels like this thing takes half of my screen, and I just can't work and show something when it's there. There's the "quick" shortcut 'ctrl+shift+alt h' (couldn't you add more keys to it?!).However, 'esc' also pops it back. Naturally(??), 'esc' is a common key in my workflow. Whenever I press it, the stupid bar pops up again.I think I recall an auto-hide function, where only when the cursor was on the top edge of the screen, the bar would show, like it happens in common remote share screens like "remote desktop."Who's the genius responsible for the new design??

How do I hide the tool bar , my students find very annoying to see the black bar on their screen whenever I share screen, Tq.

Although I can embed videos directly uploaded into Zoom Docs, and YouTube videos, I don't think I can embed videos I have published into Zoom Clips. I can link to it, but I want to be able to embed it. The option to embed is there, but I don't think it works. When I embed, I see it in my Zoom Docs. But when I try to view a published Doc, the video isn't embedded there, and that's where I want it to work. Any ideas? Is this possible? A feature request? A bug?

I want to live stream a church service using Zoom to those unable to attend in person. I have a MacBook Pro using MacOS Ventura 13.5. I used to have no problem with my old MacBook before I bought my new one.  The last time I did it - using the new MacBook - those attending by Zoom could only hear the Minister who wore a microphone and could not hear the organ music nor the congregation singing the hymns. What settings do I need to use to ensure people attending via Zoom can hear the whole service, including the loud music and hymns, as well as those reading the readings and delivering the sermon? I usually start a Zoom service via the web on Safari. Is this the best way?

I am on Zoom Workplace Pro Plus. I am the meeting Host. I want both myself and my participant/s to get an email one hour before the meeting is due to commence. I have gone through the various suggestions by Zoom AI as well as from previous discussions on this forum, but each and every one leads me down a rabbit hole that ultimately does not work. I'm sure there is a very simple process...if someone can please give me a basic step-by-step instruction? Thank you.
