We recently hosted an Office Hours conversation around the things we wish we knew before starting with Zoom Events. It was a fun conversation with a ton of great content and feedback from the Zoom Events user community! Wanted to drop the key takeaways here, or feel free to register and watch the session. 1. License Settings Shape Everything — Audit Early and OftenYour license holder's web portal settings directly control event functionality — even when hosting through the events portal. Critical toggles like co-host permissions, screen sharing, Q&A, and recording options must be reviewed before launch. Many teams discover these limitations mid-event, forcing rushed fixes during rehearsals or live sessions. Kelly Carvalho's advice: audit your account settings (meeting, webinar, and recording) at the user level before your first event to ensure your production capabilities match your vision.2. Authentication Is Your Access Control Strategy — Not Just a ToggleAuthentication controls w

If your IT team wants to understand the Zoom Marketplace connector for Sharepoint and Zoom Virtual Agent, below you will find common questions and best practices. Link the to connector is here. 1. How Authentication and Permissions WorkWhen you connect SharePoint as a knowledge base source in Zoom Virtual Agent, the integration uses OAuth authentication. This means: The SharePoint account used during authentication authorizes the connection between Zoom and Microsoft 365. The Virtual Agent does not gain elevated or independent permissions — it can only access content that the authenticated account has permission to view. In other words, the Virtual Agent “inherits” the same access rights as the SharePoint account used to establish the connection. This design ensures that SharePoint’s native access controls remain fully enforced. If a document or site is restricted for that account, the Virtual Agent will not be able to retrieve or surface it. 2. Restricting Access to Specific Sites
👋 Welcome to the Zoom Slides Community Creating presentations is one of the most common parts of work. Yet for many people, it's still more time-consuming than it should be. Ideas are scattered across meetings, documents, chats, emails, and countless browser tabs. Turning those ideas into a clear and compelling presentation often takes hours of gathering, organizing, designing, and refining. We're building Zoom Slides to make that process simpler. A place where ideas can move naturally from thinking → creating → presenting → getting buy-in. 🚀 New to Zoom Slides? When trying to join a meeting the window stays on “connecting” and never joins the meeting. The user having the issue has been able to connect to meetings up until today. He works from home and has not changed ISPs (Star Link). I cleared the Zoom cache, uninstalled/reinstalled the latest version of Zoom Workplace, and updated the ZScaler app and policy. We have not had any other users report the error. The error code is 104103. He is able to use the web version of Zoom. We also tried creating several other meetings to test with, but we received the same result. The user is also able to access all network resources as well as the internet. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.
Recurring meetings disappear from desktop and web app. From time to time, one recurring meeting with no fixed time will disappear. I have numerous recurring meetings set up for various clients so they don’t need a new link each time. When they disappear for no reason, I have to set up a new recurring meeting = unproductive and annoying.

How do you enter the chat when using the Zoom app on Apple TV? I can see messages that others post, but can’t respond or post my own message.
I regularly (1-2 a week) get added to webinars by random people/companies that I never asked to be joined to. Yes, they’re kind of in my industry (IT), but I never accept and often, when trying to get removed, end up in a loop I can’t get out of. Never used to get this with Zoom in previous years. Is there some setting I need to turn on/off? I get enough spam on my phone without having to deal with it on Zoom. Would have asked a rep, but appreantly the AI bot couldn’t figure out I was logged in and kept demanding I logged in before talking to a rep.
Overnight my contacts have vanished in the Zoom App. Anyone else had the same problem, if so is there a solution? I can still find my contacts via the chat function, but not in the contact section.
Hi. I’m the account owner and host, and I already enabled all the AI Companion and transcript settings in the Zoom web portal. But inside meetings I still can’t enable transcription or My Notes. It keeps saying that the feature “has been disabled by the host” even though I am the host.I create meetings using my PMI. Previously, note transcription would start automatically as soon as I joined the meeting. I could see and edit the live notes/transcript while me and the other participant were talking. Now, nothing starts automatically when I enter the meeting. I only see a greyed out box that I can’t click. And when I press “Open My Notes” Zoom says: “Host has disabled note transcription for this meeting.”I haven’t changed any settings on my side, and all AI Companion / transcript settings appear to be enabled in the Zoom web portal.Do you know what could be causing this?

Keyboard switching would improve speed and reliability.
I need to record a teacher at the front of a classroom and another session with a camera feed of a whiteboard. Each feed should occupy half of my screen. How can I do this?I selected the "Gallery View" option and disabled "Record Active Participant." Now I can see the feeds from both cameras on my screen, almost 50% full, but the recording still only shows one of the two feeds.
DearWhen using zoom app and Minimize at toolbar, someone sent message to me, when it can not show alert? (like flash status to let me know)But when zoom app at normal status, the function is normal, I can know someone send message to me.
The Zoom program on one PC here does not have the option to blur the background in video calls. It offers three backgrounds (Golden Gate bridge, grass, sunrise over Earth) but none of them work when selected. Everything else I have tried in Zoom works on it and it will do calls fine. All use Zoom version 7.1.0 (3715) on Linux. One is running Ubuntu MATE 24.06, the other three Linux Mint, based on Ubuntu 24.06, including the one that doesn’t work.If I look at the settings / statistics page, something is odd with the CPU info…Intel i3 PC, 4 cores, 3.6 GHz. Works. Intel i3 PC, 2 cores, 2.0 GHz. Works. Ryzen 5 PC, 6 cores, 3.6 GHz. Works Ryzen 3 PC, 4 cores. 0 GHz. This is the one that doesn’t!Why would it show a 0 GHz CPU speed? How is it working out the CPU speed? Is this why the backgrounds don’t work / blur is not offered, because Zoom doesn’t think there’s enough CPU power to do it? (For everything else, it’s seen as a much faster PC than the two core i3 one.)
I am trying to use the developer tools to create a Zoom App using the creation build flow - a Server-to-Server OAuth app to verify members using the meeting link are part of the membership group.I cannot seem to access these feature despite being the Owner on a basic plan and having no ‘Admin’ above me to ‘lock my account’ settings from turning on Developer tools
When trying to send a change/update to a Zoom meeting via Outlook, I get this message and I’m prevented from sending the update. I already have Zoom installed. Why is this happening?
I would like to broadcast a movie that I own in my digital video library to a group with approximately 75 connected devices across dispersed locations. I have tried before but the people on the receiving end could not see or hear. I assumed it was a licensing issue, but reading on this forum I see it should be possible. Please provide instructions so I can be sure it will work this time.
Hi I do not have AI companion enabled in my zoom. How can I enabled it?
Does the AI model use the Summary or the Full Transcript to update the Summary when prompted. For example, I have had a meeting, a meeting summary was generated, and I am not asking the AI to reformat the summary (lets say to put it in bullet point format). The model regenerates the summary with the bullet point format. Is the model using the original transcript or is using the summary?
I am looking to purchase a paid zoom planMy main requirement is to use it for live streaming in Facebook groupshould i buy the personal or business?i live in India thanks
I’m not able to generate meeting transcripts and meeting summary, while my license is there for AI summary.
I loaned my device to someone for them to participate in a Zoom meeting. Now every time I join a meeting it shows her name and not mine. How can I permanently change my name back?
