Where are my recordings?????

After a recent update, I no longer have the choice to save my recordings to my computer.  That’s extremely annoying as I don’t trust the cloud and, apparently I have good reason not to.  My recordings have not showed up in the list of recordings.  That’s over an hour of recording time that I have to redo.  I am beyond furious.  Please fix this ASAP.  Also, please consider testing your software before pushing it onto us, so that you don’t cost us time we don’t have.

    The recording system is very reliable, but that does not mean it is perfect.

    For local recordings, you should expect your recoerdings will be filed in your documents folder in a folder called zoom and sorted by date.

    To find wheer your recoedings are, access your zoom settings from the workplace app. There is a tab valled recoerdings.


    You can open the folder to see the recordings.
     

    There are times when you can forget to start a recording, so i just have all my meerings recorded by detaul and set that when i shcedule them.

    John, Thanks for your information.  I am sure that it will help many.  Unfortunately, the options that I see, while they vary depending upon where I access them from, do not include those you have shown.  It’s a shame that the most basic options are buried somewhere in thousands of incredibly detailed ones, or left out entirely.

    Hello,

     

    Zoom's default local recording location is a folder named "Zoom" placed inside the user's Documents directory on Windows, Mac, and Linux. For most users, this is C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Zoom (Windows) or /Users/[Username]/Documents/Zoom (Mac). 

    • Windows: C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Zoom
    • Mac: /Users/[Username]/Documents/Zoom
    • Linux: home/[Username]/Documents/Zoom 

       

      How to Find/Change Your Recording Location:
    1. Open the Zoom desktop app and sign in.
    2. Click on your profile picture, then click Settings (gear icon).
    3. Select the Recording tab to see the current local saving path.
    4. You can click "Open" to go to that folder or choose a new folder location. 
    If you cannot find the file, it is often because the recording failed to convert after the meeting ended, or the meeting was recorded to the cloud instead of locally.
