White Board

Hi!

As a techer I use classic board to write during classes. When I close it and share documents and then I go back to the board I was usin, the text I previously wrote disappeared! I also tried to save it, but still disappears.

Never happened before. I wonder if you had the same pronlem and possibly consequent to a new version.

It is relly annoying, because at the end of the session, before closing, I use to save the board and send it in attachment to the students.

I'm sorry for the late response. 

Classic Whiteboards:

• These are basic digital whiteboards that don't allow for ongoing edits once you’re done working.
• Once you’ve finished your session, you typically have to export your work as a file (like a PNG or PDF) to save it.
• After exporting, the content is static and can't be altered directly on the whiteboard anymore. You’d need to re-import the file if you wanted to make any changes.

Advanced Whiteboards:

• These allow for persistent editing, meaning you can continue to make changes over time without needing to export the content.
• They also typically come with cloud saving, so your work is stored in the cloud and can be accessed and edited from anywhere, on any device, without losing your progress.
• This makes it easier for teams or individuals to collaborate over time, since they can always pick up where they left off, rather than dealing with static exported files.

So, in short: Classic whiteboards are more "one-and-done" when you're done, while advanced ones let you save, edit, and revisit your work at any time, with the added convenience of cloud storage.

I long for the days when the white board was just a white board. Every time I open zoom there is a new feature that is useless to me when Im teaching my 3 hours long classes. All I want is a white board and I want what's on there to remain until I decide to delete it. I don't want others to draw on it and I don't need 20 of them. I really hope zoom will consider allowing us to return to its original interface because all this does it take up time in front of students. Same thing with Screen share. So many options does nothing but take up extra time and create it so you can't easily switch screens. Too many choices.
