Missing Recording

I hosted a meeting yesterday and set it to automatically record to the cloud (in order to ensure transcription). I set the meeting so that my guest would be automatically admitted to the meeting room, and the meeting started with him signing in, without me first going to the Zoom website to initiate the meeting. Could this be why the automatic recording is not showing up? That is wasn't actually recorded? This was an interview for a research study I'm conducting so it's very important!
