How to turn off autocorrect - PLEASE HELP

Hello, 

 

I'm a spanish guy who talks in the mac zoom APP in spanish, english and catalan. From my mac its a disaster, I can't talk to my catalan colleagues without having to rewrite all the words I type. I have tried already to deactivate the autocorrect from the operating system (MAC) but it's still correcting the words (the zoom APP). 
When I have to talk to my catalan colleagues, I have to take my iphone to have proper conversations without having to rewrite every word. I have googled and searched in this forum for a solution. Can you help?

I don't need any autocorrect but I can't turn it off from zoom, it's the only app on my Mac that acts like that.

Right-click on the chat, hover over Spelling & Grammar, and uncheck Correct Spelling Automatically.

Is there a way for applying this setting to all chats? A global preference...?

The spelling auto correct keeps turning back on after disabling it and looking at the other replies here, other people are experiencing this as well. How do we permanently turn this off? Its aggravating turning auto correct off, only to have it return a short time later. This needs to be fixed!

Hi there. I'm having the same issue with autocorrect. Autocorrect is turned off in my OS's settings, I've checked multiple times. However in Zoom chat and channels, it is autocorrecting so many words and names that shouldn't be 'corrected'. 

I also no longer see the option mentioned in the solution when I right-click on a chat (I can't add a screenshot but it's not there). Please advise? This is highly frustrating.

Hello. Unfortunately this setting is not persistent, appears randomly applied (or not applied) to chats, and seems to, again randomly, reset after every Zoom launch.

I have the same problem and it completely drives me crazy.. ((

Does anyone know hot to turn that dumb auto-correct off for all chats, once and forever?

I'm seeing the same. I turn the auto correct function off, but it always comes back. What's the point of being able to turn it off it just keeps coming back? This needs to be fixed.

It works now. Turning off the spelling auto correct sticks and it doesn't seem to revert anymore. Thank you.
