After latest update, I can't open the chat window for any contact

As the title says, I can't open the chat window anymore.

I'm running on Ubuntu 18.04.6 and my zoom version is 5.8.0 (16)

I still receive messages and the notifications show, but I can't open the chat windows to reply..

Anyone had a similar issue or maybe an idea on how to solve this?

After uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling, it's back to normal... stranger things...

SAME! Happened on my Zoom meeting tonight. Any resolutions?
